Our Mission
The mission of Bethany House Ministries is rooted in the Gospel, and in the spirit of Father Jean Joseph Lataste OP, who recognized through his work with prisoners that God's love has the power to heal, transform and renew to what many seemed hopeless.
Our mission is to create a compassionate and healing environment, and to provide competent service for those whose lives are affected by difficulties. We are especially committed to the physical, emotional and spiritual support of prisoners, and their loved ones.
Recognizing the need for community awareness and criminal justice networking, we are committed to the education of society and ourselves about criminal justice issues.
We recognize the sacredness of all creation, and that every person is worthy of dignity, love and respect. Our mission is to be in solidarity with the imprisoned, and those who live on the margins of society. We seek to interpret the Biblical call in a way that is transforming personally, communally and globally.
